Copy files to and from many hosts

Pick hosts by hand or by tag, as for running a snippet. Pushing and pulling are desktop only.

Push a file

Choose Hosts › More › Push a file…, or Push a file… on a selection. One file goes from this computer into a folder on each host over SFTP, four hosts at a time. Choose Replace or Skip where the file exists. Push again retries the failures.

Pull a file

Choose Hosts › More › Pull a file…. The same file comes from each host into one zip, three hosts at a time, in a folder per host (web/os-release, db/os-release). Files over Largest file to fetch (50 MB, or 1 MB to 1 GB) are left out and marked Too large. Pull again retries the failures and rewrites the zip.

List what your hosts run

Choose Hosts › More › Inventory (on the phone, Hosts › ⋯ › Inventory). Each host shows its operating system, version and architecture from Sternway’s check at the last connection, and when this device last connected. Hosts this device never reached have empty columns. Export CSV (phone: Share CSV) writes host,address,os,version,arch,lastSeen.
